October 1, 1971 - November 19, 2010.
October 7 - 17th, 2009 marked the official launching of our "Tennessee Giveback Initiative." We take this time to thank all of our sponsors and supporters who participated in welcoming Emure Kingdom's Community Leader, King Emmanuel Adebayo to the United States during this event.

Our goal was to bridge the gap between the African nations and the US and it was successful!

Today, we forge ahead with the cause to help save lives; to provide quality education and health to African children and their families.

Sincerely,

Dr. Fumi Hancock, RN, Ph.D.

AN URGENT NOTE TO OUR CIRCLE OF FRIENDS: SPONSORS, VOLUNTEERS & DONORS

"As I ponder over my trip to Africa in January 2009, I am reminded of the young lady who asked me not to forget her. She put my hands on her face and said “Please don’t forget me”.  Today, every time I think about that statement, I tear up.  One thing I do know is that she made a big impression on me.

Sometimes, when we come back from a mission trip, we tend to get back into our old routines’ and forget about the promises we made to many who are really depending on us to make a difference.

Even with all of the many obstacles that we have faced with getting things completed in preparation for our next trip this coming year, I am constantly reminded that it is simply not about me.

Not everyone will believe in the work we are doing or will think it is as important as the next cause.  But God calls certain people to certain missions.

To this effect, I urge you all to continue to stand strong in what He has called you to do, no matter the obstacles.

Remember, someone is depending on you to be the one to keep your promise.  It is my sincere prayer that those who has been called to make a difference in the lives of children and their famlies, living in extreme poverty in 3rd world countries will reach out and be a "life changer."
- Ms. Yolanda Shields, Vice President AAF, Inc.
