The Poor State of Schools in Nigeria
The Poor State of Schools in Nigeria
Hello Everyone, This is Princess Fumi and thank you for taking the time to log on to our website. Several weeks ago, I received a call from a friend who needed to really understand the extend of the needs Nigerian School children are facing. According to her, she had read several articles explaining how many schools there are in Nigeria and Africa at large. From what she read, she was under the impression that our schools and hospitals met similar standards as those in the United States. In this album, our viewers will get to experience the state of many of the schools in Nigeria. These are pictures of schools taken by a newly crowned King- Oba Emmanuel Adebayo, the King of my communitym- Emure Ekiti, my cousin. He is distraught as I am as to the challenges facing African children. Though I hail from a Royal Family, I understand that "it indeed takes a village to raise a child." The task of rebuilding schools, providing quality education, eradicating poverty amongst our sisters and brothers in Africa is a global issue. With these said, I am asking that as you spend time on this web; you look deep inside of yourself and ascertain how you can be a part of this campaign ... to provide quality education which will in turn helps to eradicate poverty in 3rd World countries.... Africa being the primary. Again, thank you for coming in. I hope that we are able to touch your hearts to effect a change. Sincerely, Princess Fumi Ogunleye Hancock, RN, Ph.d
