Mr. Pinnock has spent his entire professional career in business---primarily in small business development.  It began in 1977 in financial services, first as a commercial underwriter with Aetna Life and Casualty, then as a Registered Representative, Prudential Financial Services.  At Prudential, he was responsible for developing a client base for the company’s insurance and investment products, selling qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, setting up insurance-funded buy-sell agreements and advising on charitable giving options.

Afterwards he co-founded and served as President of Alexander, Pinnock & Company from 1989-1994. The firm sold business insurance and employee benefits to small businesses and government entities, and reinsurance to managed care companies.

Mr. Pinnock’s entrepreneurial interests carried him to Huffman Bedford Bounds Consulting, Inc from 1994-2003.  Huffman Bedford provided risk management, business development and general business consulting for an array of clients that included healthcare and educational institutions, community-based organizations and small businesses.

In 2003 a client of the consulting business recruited him to assist in starting InShuttle Transportation, Inc. where he serves as President.  InShuttle provides charter and shuttle bus services to corporations and organizations throughout the Middle Tennessee area.  His primary responsibilities are strategic planning and business development.

Over the course of his career Mr. Pinnock has received an Associate in Risk Management certificate from the Insurance Institute of America, completed courses in financial planning, and taxation and was licensed to sell mutual funds, limited partnerships and various types of insurance.

Mr. Pinnock coordinates the Deacon’s ministry at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Nashville.  And for five years he oversaw the church’s after-school tutoring program, which now partners with Second Harvest Food Bank, Vanderbuddies and the Nashville Public Library.

Mr. Pinnock graduated from Fisk University in 1977.  From 1998- 2003 he served as Vice-Chair and Treasurer of the University’s General Alumni Association (National Alumni Association).
