Princess Fumi celebrates Cousin's Coronation After 23 years of absence from Africa
Hello Everyone, This year has been an exciting as well as challenging time for me. After 23 years of absence from my community- Emure Ekiti Kingdom, a Yoruba tribe in Nigeria, West Africa; my cousin-Oba Emmanuel Adebayo was crowned the new King in February 2008. Because of the relationship he has with my father and the great news about the excitement of the whole community, it was indeed a privilege to be a part of this great and unprecedented occasion. In this album, you my viewers will get a chance to be a part of the wonderful celebration. Not only did I get to experience an occasion which I may never again partake of in my life time; it was indeed restoration for me too, as their princess. It was amazing to see people I had left behind several years ago welcome me with warm open arms. In addition, I was made to understand the gravity of responsibility being a true African princess is and the mantle I now carry all over the world. With this, I welcome everyone to this album. Thank you for taking the time to share this experience with me. Yours Sincerely, Princess Fumi Ogunleye Hancock, Ph.D
