This past week, the Tennessean newspaper featured our organization and the people of Tennessee responded! I am so very grateful for all the people who have responded and have donated books to our cause in Emure Kingdom. In just two days, we have received over 1000 books and we are still counting!
It is amazing when people come together to help the less privileged. I am excited when I think of the children's faces as they browse through these books at the new library we are launching in January 2010.
I am also aware that there is much to be done. We still need more books! We need Computers, furnitures etc! More importantly, we need funds to ship these books to Emure Kingdom.
While some may feel that this is no concern of theirs, I beleive that as a global citizen, we are called upon to make an impact in peoples' lives.
Do you know that if 1000 people commit to donating $10, we can get these books to Emure Kingdom? Please consider being a part of history. Make a difference in the lives of an African Child. They need these books to advance. Education is a sure way out of poverty and we have it in us to make a difference no matter how little.
I want to hear from you. God bless You.
Sincerely,
Princess Fumi Ogunleye Hancock, RN, Ph.D
